Barbecue-concert in the Garden for Peace

The Garden for Peace will be hosting a barbecue-concert evening on Friday 8 August 2025 from 7pm, with the group "Slow Train".

The Garden for Peace is often described as a place where you can stroll, alone or in pairs, in the tranquillity of a sunny day. Silence is interrupted only by the rustle of leaves and birdsong. But that's not so true any more, because you can also take advantage of the seclusion offered by the garden to open the party and listen to the music!

To break the monotony, make way for the crackling of the fire and the spicy fumes of the barbecue. While you wait for the musician to arrive, the large terrace will welcome you to share a warm moment. Or perhaps you'd prefer to lose yourself in the garden and enjoy the coolness of the falling night?

One winter's evening, as Matt was trying to keep warm by drinking a pint of beer by a campfire, he heard the melodious sound of Mao's voice coming from the depths of a ranch... And that's when the idea came to him: he had to create an old country folk band! Matt grabbed his pint with both hands and headed off to propose a collaboration to Mao, who gladly accepted! The duo were about to hit the roads of Texas, Matt carrying a guitar and banjo and Mao a double bass. The two of them walking side by side, singing good old country and American folk classics. And so Slow Train was born.
